Dea Marica was a Roman Goddess associated with swamps, salt-marshes and bogs. She was considered the Goddess of enchantment & spellcraft.
As a river Goddess and one who knew herbs well, she may also have had a healing and protective function.

En tant que déesse des rivières et connaisseuses des herbes et plantes, elle pourrait également avoir eu une fonction de guérison et de protection.
