Abbess, visionary, writer, naturalist, artist, composer of sacred music and more, Hildegard von Bingen (1098-1179) became famous for her records of special healing methods in which she recognised the healing power of plants, stones or even daily food. She laid the foundation for a new folk medicine which is, for a big part, still recognised to this day.

But my favourite part has to be her mysterious Lingua Ignota (“Unknown Language” in Latin).
Her Lingua Ignota contains 23 letters or Litterae Ignota which are the inspiration behind these pieces.

This piece is part of the "Art Sacré" Collection.

This listing is for one Talisman.

- Handmade by me.
- Sterling silver (950) sustainable and ethically recycled in France.
- Crafted upon order.
- The symbol's size is approximately: 3,2cm / 1,25 inches
- The chain measures: 66cm / 26 inches (over the head, no clasp)

Each jewel is sawn, assembled by soldering, hammered then polished ; entirely handmade. Each one is unique and has its very own shape and character.

Abbesse, visionnaire, écrivaine, naturaliste, artiste, compositrice de musique sacrée et plus encore, Hildegard von Bingen (1098-1179) est devenue célèbre pour ses archives de méthodes de guérison spéciales dans lesquelles elle reconnaissait le pouvoir de guérison des plantes, des pierres ou même de la nourriture. Elle a jeté les bases d'une nouvelle médecine populaire qui est, pour une grande part, encore reconnue à ce jour.

Mais ce que je préfère doit être sa mystérieuse Lingua Ignota ("Langue inconnue" en latin).
Ses 23 lettres - ou Litterae Ignota - sont l'inspiration derrière ces pièces.

Cette pièce fait partie de la Collection "Art Sacré".

- Réalisé à la main.
- Argent massif (950) écologique, recyclé en France de façon éthique.
- Je crée chaque pièce sur commande.
- Le symbole mesure approximativement : 3,2cm / 1,25 inches
- La chaîne mesure : 66cm / 26 inches (sautoir, pas de fermoir)

Chaque bijou est scié, assemblé par soudure, martelé et poli ; le tout entièrement à la main. Chacun est unique et possède une forme et un caractère qui lui sont propres.
